Working with the television industry comes with its own set of challenges, the differing call time, the long working hours on sets and the constant need of bringing an interesting story is a task each crew member has to go through, in spite of which, Arun Bhardwaj, the executive producer of ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ was able to write his debut novel ‘Neela Bhagwan’. His book narrates a fictional story that every Indian can relate to. The book was launched by the star cast of Sasural Simar Ka which includes actors like Deepika Kakar, Jayati Bhatia, Dheeraj Dhooper, and Avika gaur.

Arun Bhardwaj reiterated his experience of writing ‘Neela Bhagwan’. “Stories have always baffled me as they had the power to change a person’s mindset. The story of Neela Bhagwan was in my mind for a very long time, but after writing it and showing it to some of my friends, their reaction moved me. I was really nervous when I decided to publish my book, as at that time, I was also working with Sasural Simar Ka and I didn’t want my book to create any disturbance, but the entire cast and crew were very supportive, and not only did they help me during the drafting stage, but thanks to them, I was able to showcase my book to thousands of people through their love and recommendation.”

‘Neela Bhagwan’ speaks about a small village in India where a child was born with blue-colored skin, which led to people believing that he is an embodiment of god. This story perfectly encapsulates the belief system of our Indian society and also shows us a vivid image of how beliefs can change everything.
